    I'm not sure if this message belongs in the "Ask the Expert" section :S, but it's also the perfect opportunity for me to give you emotional support for those horrible "two weeks of waiting".

    Patients usually don't believe us when we tell them that this will be the hardest part of their treatment until they get to that point themselves!

    It is perfectly normal to feel anxious and there is no magic trick: this is where each woman has to get to know herself and find her own strategy. Some will read, others will do yoga, others will throw themselves into work a lot or talk about it a lot - like you - online etc.

    From a medical and scientific point of view, I like to tell my patients that there is always a positive aspect regardless of the outcome: Information. Especially if the test is negative: Information about what worked, what didn't work, about the next test or the next treatment option available to you. It is important that your clinic takes this cycle evaluation into account in order to determine the next steps together with you. In any case, even if the test is negative, it is one step closer to motherhood.
