Why, as a pharmacist, I’m so deeply involved with fertility and micronutrients
Hello everyone,
I’d like to briefly introduce myself. My name is Dr. Sina Yavari; I’m a pharmacist and have been working extensively for quite some time on micronutrients related to fertility, pregnancy, and breastfeeding.
The reason for this is not only professional but also personal.
While we were trying to conceive, I realized how difficult it can be—even with a background in pharmacy—to find reliable information.
Folic acid, omega-3, vitamin D, coenzyme Q10, inositol, choline, iron, selenium, zinc…
Recommendations are everywhere—but rarely is it explained:
What really makes sense?
What’s just marketing?
What should you actually have tested for?
And when is “more” not automatically better?
It was precisely this experience that later led to the creation of MyKIWU.
What’s important to me is this: Dietary supplements can’t replace fertility treatments or medical diagnostics.
But I believe that women, men, and couples deserve better and more understandable guidance on this topic.
That’s why I’d like to contribute my pharmaceutical knowledge here and, at the same time, learn from your experiences.
I’d be interested to know:
Which micronutrient do you feel most uncertain about when trying to conceive?
Folic acid?
Omega-3?
Vitamin D?
CoQ10?
Inositol?
Iron?
Or something else entirely?
Best regards
Dr. Sina Yavari
