    Hello

I would like to tell you about my previous history, as I have repeatedly experienced very early pregnancy losses and your expert opinion is important to me.

    Previous pregnancies:

    2023: Windy egg

Early 2025: Amniotic cavity and yolk sac without embryo

    Two months ago: biochemical pregnancy

    Now another biochemical pregnancy

Diagnostics already carried out (everything unremarkable):

Chromosome analysis for me and my partner

    Uterine biopsy

    Coagulation diagnostics

    Thyroid values (TSH)

    Vitamin D level

    Hormone status

    Anatomical assessment of the uterus

    Spermiogram of my partner

I also have mild endometriosis, which, according to previous assessments, is not necessarily the cause of the very early failed attempts.

I am currently still waiting for the results of the immunological tests.

Despite the extensive diagnostics, no clear cause for the repeated very early pregnancy losses has yet been found.
I would be grateful for your assessment of what further steps you would recommend in my case or whether there are any other aspects that should be clarified.

Thank you very much for your time and support.

    Dear Luna11,

Thank you for sharing your medical history with me. I am very sorry to hear that you are on this path to conceiving.

Although I see that you have had many tests - and I understand that all the results were normal - I would need to see the exact results (which of course is not possible here).

What I'm missing most from your story, though, is your age (and your partner's age). Because in women over 35-38, the main cause of miscarriage is chromosomal abnormality of the embryos due to the age of the mother and/or high sperm fragmentation.

I know that this technique is not allowed in Germany, but in Spain PGT-A is a very common technique that helps a lot to avoid implantation failures or biochemical pregnancies. A large proportion of our German patients come to us for this particular technique so that they do not have to wait for a hypothetical transfer of the right embryo (out of 5 or 6) and lose too much time, so that in the end egg donation is the only solution for them to get pregnant.

If you think this applies to you, please do not hesitate to send us your medical file(contact@vidafertility.com) and make an initial appointment with me.

    I hope this helps you.

    Yours sincerely,

    Dr. K. Spies

Me and my partner are both 32 years old

We have already had an ICSI which resulted in 5 blastocysts of very good quality.

    Dear Luna11,

Oh, you are both still young. But even if the statistics are in your favor, checking the chromosome count of the embryos is always one of the first things to do. Then we should also check the endometrium: Who mentioned an endometrial biopsy? But what was examined? The receptivity? The immunology? There are many things that can be checked, including your partner. Among other things, your entire ICSI cycle should also be checked.

    Yours sincerely,
    Dr. Spies
