Dear experts,
We have 4 years of trying to conceive behind us.
1st pregnancy in 2020 with miscarriage, trisomy 21
2nd SS 2020 with miscarriage, chromosomes unremarkable
3rd SS 2021 with miscarriage, triploidy
4th SS 2021 with miscarriage, trisomy 16
5th SS 2022 ectopic pregnancy
2 negative PGD transfers
6th/7th week of pregnancy 2023 biochemical PGD transfers
8th SS 2024 after partner immunization and treatment of adenomyosis. PID embryo. Birth in 2024, but the child has a genetic mutation (STEBP1, de Novo in most cases) and it is not yet clear how severe the mental and motor disability will be. How likely is it that we can still have a completely healthy child with my eggs? Our child has a mutation and I am wondering whether the other eggs also have genetic defects...or would it be better to simply try with an egg donation?
Thank you very much in advance for your assessment!
we still have healthy PGD embryos on ice but PGD only tests chromosomes or certain genetic defects if they are known. Our chromosomes have been tested. As we don't have any genetic diseases in the family, we are looking for them at night.
