    Addendum, what is it actually like when 3 Blastos are won? One is used, which I think is included in the price.

    The other two are frozen, either included in the price or for X amount.

    Now the first attempt doesn't work, for whatever reason.

    1. How quickly can you start a second attempt?

    2. how much does it cost to defrost and insert the Blasto?

    3. what is the general procedure?

    Saasa: great that you're taking a close look at everything! I rather thought: oh, all clinics in DK will probably be similarly expensive... but it's definitely worth taking a closer look! Diers and Aggard always publish their success rates.... And I can understand the journey very well. 3 hours by car is nothing. I often travel to Copenhagen from NRW by train.

    You can theoretically continue directly into the next cycle. I have always done this. Costs for the 2nd TF approx. 1,200 €. Embryoglue and hatching JE €480 extra. Price-performance ratio is not right for us here. Approx. 1000€ extra just for additional services. Would be included in the baby guarantee package....

On DD 10-11, have an ultrasound with your gynecologist and send the result to the clinic by email. If the thickness is sufficient, there will be an appointment for the TF and start with progesterone 5 days before.

    Costs approx. 60€ for 45 suppositories. Tablets: approx. 30€ for a pack. Tablets usually 3 a day as well as suppositories. Depending on the clinic and value 2 or 3 a day...

    The clinics are also roughly - in the same price segment ... the difference really seems to be the additional services, I haven't gone through exactly yet.

    Likewise, which additional services would be useful and which would not 🤷🏼‍♀️

    As I said, I'm still pretty much at the beginning of the whole thing. I had a 28-day pill for 20 years, so no cycle. I stopped in February this year, no cycle, off to the doctor - premature menopause (37 years old), a week later KIWU - no more treatment possible within DE. Now I'm waiting for some genetic blood values to get a replacement therapy and to ask my gynaecologist if he can continue my treatment. Ask my gynaecologist if he would support my treatment abroad and do things like HIV tests etc. in advance. in advance

    So DK was clear because of the open donation. Copenhagen then because of the accessibility. And at the Sellmer Clinic we quickly had an initial consultation, which was very nice. I also personally thought the 365-day opening hours were great. In the end, I also switched to the natural cycle and of course such flexibility is great.

    For us it was also DK because of the open donation and also the accessibility. We can be in Aarhus in 5 hours by car. If, on the other hand, I calculate that I first have to go to the airport etc. for the Czech Republic, then it would probably be the same in terms of costs

    We had discussions with Sellmer Aarhus and Diers.

    I compared the costs between Diers and Sellmer Aarhus, and the Sellmer clinic was slightly cheaper.

    I would have needed the medication anywhere, whether it was Diers or the Czech Republic, I just don't build up in the normal way. I need the full program, Estrifam, progesterone, patches......and all that in high doses....


    Copenhagen was out of the question because that would have been even further. We also timed it so that we went on vacation in DK in October for the sperm collection and my examination. So we only had to go there once by car to collect the sperm.

    We turned down the first donor we found, she didn't want to donate until the end of January, which was too late for us. She also didn't suit me visually, I'm a light-colored person, she had dark hair and wasn't as typical of northern Germany as I am. The second donor then donated in mid-January. Curiously, she is even German.

    I also had the opening hours of 365 days in mind in Aarhus, but they don't have them there, as they told us on site, because they would need extra staff and so that you always have the same doctors and embryologists, they are only open from Monday to Friday.

    But I keep emphasizing that we felt very comfortable and well looked after there.

    And we were successful in the first stage, our worm made it to the 8SSW, only then the little heart stopped.

    At Diers, do you automatically get a 40% discount with the second donor if there is no pregnancy with the 1st donor? At Sellmer it says 10% if you choose the basic package.

    Are there other clinics with donor photos other than Diers and Sellmer?

    Do you have any experience with Cryos Klinik? I didn't quite understand their prices, they talk about the price for 1 embryo. But how can you know in advance how many embryos will be created 🤔

    Teska - how did you do with the high-dose medication? How long beforehand do you have to take them? Did you start hormone replacement therapy due to premature menopause?

    @ All - Did you have anything done before or after the transfer? And what tests were carried out in DE beforehand?

    How flexible is the transfer, i.e. is a fixed date given and do you have to be there? Do you just get in the car afterwards and drive home ?

    I know it sounds stupid but worm in it, off home, what I have read - continue to take some medication and then it is anxious until you can test urine and blood after 10 days ?

    For me it was as follows:

    No cycle available, so at some point I got prescriptions for medication from DK, Estrifam and progesterone. I then had to have an ultrasound here in Germany on various days (please note, this is not usually covered by the health insurance, self-payers) and I then sent the results to DK. As my GBMS didn't build up appropriately in the first round, I then got a prescription from DK for the "pill" to trigger a stop bleed. I think I then had to go back to the US on the second day of bleeding to check whether it had broken down properly. Then I was given a new MediPlan and new prescriptions and another US as prescribed. At the last US, the GBMS was set up accordingly, notification after DK and then I was told that I should be there 7 days later at 10:30 am.

    I didn't feel bad with all the meds.....es is just a bit stressful because you really shouldn't forget them. I always set an alarm clock for midday, for example.

    My plan was as follows after the transfer:

    Estrifam orally and vaginally in the morning, progesterone vaginally and rectally

    Estrifam orally at lunchtime

    In the evening as in the morning

    and two Vivelle patches every 2 days.

    That was quite a lot, but it worked, and that was the most important thing. Sometimes it's a bit annoying when the suppositories slip out again and you constantly need panty liners - it's kind of expensive, but what can you do?

    I ordered the plasters online the first time in France because they weren't available here, and when I picked up our worm I got a new prescription and went straight to the pharmacy in DK. They really aren't cheap, by the way.

    For the US, I'd give you the tip not to have the pictures printed out, but to take a photo of them on the screen, which might save you some time, my Dr. always allowed me to do this and it always worked.

    From the 12th week of pregnancy I was supposed to stop everything straight away and take ASA, but I didn't do that, instead we agreed to slowly phase out the medication. I have to say that I was diagnosed with MA during the 12th week of pregnancy, but my little heart stopped beating in the 8th week, which must have been shortly after the examination at the time. Up until then everything had developed normally and the little heart was beating beautifully.

    I had to take my morning tablets at 05:30 in the morning, go to the clinic at 10:30, have my blood taken to measure my progesterone and have the transfer at 11:30. I had to drink a lot and not go to the toilet for an hour beforehand. We were able to follow the transfer on the screen. Tjoa and then you're PUPO. Afterwards we went shopping for baby clothes in the fashion store next door and then went home.

    And then you really have to wait until you can do a blood test here. I started testing beforehand, about 8 days after the transfer and could see the second line on the test strip getting darker every day and of course I already knew the result on the day of the blood test. But I only really told my husband after the blood test, until then it was a secret between our worm and me.

    Of course I tried to take care of myself after the transfer, not to lift heavy weights, not to get too excited, not to swim, not to go to the sauna, to drink grapefruit juice, to eat healthily, to get enough sleep and, above all, to practice extreme hygiene in other people's toilets. My body clearly showed me when it needed a break. I think it's a stressful time because you know you have someone inside you and you're thinking about it all the time and just hoping that the little one will latch on. It's all different with a natural pregnancy. Nevertheless, I will go down this path again and swallow all the medication, invest the money, fight this psychological battle because I just firmly believe that we will be good parents and can't imagine anything better.


    Another thing that just occurred to me when I started the medication was that at some point my breasts hurt like hell. The Dr at Kiwu here said it was normal with the dose of hormones I was taking. It also got better over time. Also, due to the progesterone, I often had bloating and especially a sore belly in between. Unfortunately, these are "normal" side effects that any "normal" pregnant woman can have.

    I'm now considering whether it makes sense to take a pill in advance to see how my GB would behave, but it's probably better to wait and see.

    I have another appointment in 4 weeks at a KIWU clinic (which would be the second one in Germany) and maybe this doctor will be a bit more informative about what I can do to make it easier for the Danish clinic and me.

    Have you already scheduled a new appointment for yourself?

    I'm lucky, and I've been through a lot of hardships, to have found a really great Dr (let's call him Dr. G.) at Kiwu in Germany. Within the scope of his possibilities (as we know, EZS is banned in Germany and his possibilities are correspondingly limited), he really does everything for a successful outcome.

    I would not take any medication without first consulting the relevant clinic. Have you had any consultations with the clinics?

    The EZS was given to me at the time by my Dr G. as the only possibility of pregnancy as food for thought. Discuss this with your local Dr. I also drive 40 minutes or 60 km to Dr. G, but it's worth it to me. You simply need a good Dr. here who will examine you and also support you. I've already had "normal" gynecologists who were against it and treated me accordingly.

    Back then, Dr. G only recommended that I eat a healthy diet, no cigarettes, no alcohol (which I take for granted), do some sport and do things that are good for me. You know your body best. He also checked my blood values regularly and prescribed medication for my thyroid.

    The clinic will draw up a medication plan for you after you've sent them the relevant documents they've asked for; I always sent them all my blood results and so on. You need to see how your GBMS builds up and how you tolerate the medication. And above all, give yourself and your body some rest, the time will still be stressful enough with the running around for US and so on.

    My Dr. G gave me a card from a naturopath who works specifically on fertility and loss after I went for a follow-up check after the scraping last week. I have an appointment with her next week, purely to deal with my loss.

    We have 2 weeks' vacation at the beginning of August and will then try again. Tomorrow I have to see Dr. G again to discuss my blood results from last week and to see if the fluid is out of my uterus, and of course another blood test.

    @ tinycat: the 40% discount with Diers only applies if there was only 1 blasto and this does not lead to pregnancy. It might be interesting to ask whether a biochemical pregnancy - i.e. without a heartbeat - already counts as a pregnancy and therefore the contract is considered fulfilled and there would then be no discount. Exactly, at Sellmer in general there is a 10% discount on the 2nd donor - equivalent to a saving of approx. 700€. It doesn't matter how many Blastos there were with the 1st donor. But well, 10% is of course not the world. Here you could save at most with the bronze package on the 2nd donor - if needed. But in terms of finances, it's worth at least considering the possibility of a 2nd donor.
    I didn't understand the Cryos prices either 😅 as you say: per embryo: but you don't know how many... otherwise they are of course cheaper. I would also ask about this by email. I only know about the child photos from Diers and Sellmer...

    Saasa: I think a biopsy for plasma cells makes sense. DK also recommended an HSK. The doctors in Germany thought it was unnecessary because all the ultrasounds in 2 and 3D were unremarkable. I then did it in combination with the biopsy, as the doctor only offered it that way.
    On the day of the transfer, progesterone was then measured in the blood in DK. After the transfer, I either flew straight away or got on the train. According to the clinic, no problem.
    I always tested early from TF +5 or 6. I personally don't like to be without certainty for 10-12 days. Otherwise I wouldn't have known about the biochemical pregnancy and that was super important for my motivation and confidence, as 2 EZS TFs had been completely negative so far (plus 6 with my own eggs)... and I really doubted whether I could get pregnant at all...

    @ Ninusch what is an HSK ? Killer cells and plasma cells the same pot ? Now I've reached the point where my head is out of the game 😂 I'm not as familiar with the subject as you are.

    Where would you have this done and what are the costs and pain ?

    Biochemical pregnancy, according to goggle this would be quasi - a positive pregnancy test which then turns negative again in the urine ?

    Sorry 😅 HSk is a uterine endoscopy to see if inside the uterus is good.
    The biopsy (tissue sampling) can also be done alone without anesthesia. Here you can have killer and or plasma cells examined. I didn't have killer cells examined... I had a biopsy done once without anesthesia at the KiWU clinic. It wasn't pleasant, but ok. Together with the HSK there was anesthesia and this was done through a center for gynecological procedures... My private health insurance covered the costs. Also because of the anesthesia about 700€

    Exactly: the test is positive, so the blastocyst has nested and HCG is produced, but unfortunately it's all over again after a few days. Or the ultrasound does not show an embryo with a heartbeat.
