Carrier screening test

Hello everyone,

Do you know of any clinics that test open donation with a genetic screening test for recessive hereditary diseases? (Carrier screening test 400-600 gen. diseases in the donor and the partner)

So far I have found some in Spain and the Czech Republic. Maybe you still have some on the screen, preferably open donation.

tinycat The two countries do not offer open donation, so the clinics have not told you the truth.

Hi Chris,

I don't think I worded it right..I know that in Spain and the Czech Republic only anonymous donation is possible 😊 so I'm looking for clinics that offer open donation with carrier screening.

I haven't found any so far 😔

Hello tinycat,

As far as I know, they offer this in Austria. I am also undergoing treatment there or am just about to start and there are open donations with these genetic tests.

Hi Blümchen, which clinic offers this?

Loimer said they would only test the donor but not my partner, so it doesn't really make sense. You may have to find a laboratory that also tests the partner and it has to be compared somehow.

I would also be interested to know which clinic you are in. We would also like to have an open donation with genetic tests, but we are still at the very beginning of our search for clinics.
