    Dear Blume20214

I apologize for the late reply. I am only very rarely in the forum. My daughter is now 15 months and keeps me on my toes.

We chose England/London because it wasn't anonymous and it was the london womens clinic.

I wish you all the best!!!

As we currently have no contact with Ferticare, we cannot answer this question. Contact with Ferticare and Dr. Uher has completely broken off in the last year. It's a pity, but Dr. Uher is no longer the youngest and, according to our latest information, actually wanted to retire from the clinic.

    Good morning,

We are also undergoing treatment at FertiCare, but in Karlsbad. We are very satisfied with the clinic... you are not a number there and every question is answered, whether by e-mail or telephone.
We feel that we are in very good hands and we don't have the feeling that they want to take money out of our pockets as every step is explained, which was very different in Germany.
We can definitely recommend the clinic to you.

    Best regards

And all the best to you my

Hello, I need your experience. I am completely disappointed.
I went to Mallorca for egg donation, IVI. Double donation, egg and sperm donation. You think nothing can go wrong, because there are two top healthy donors and there should be lots of good blastocysts that implant and develop further.
Thanks to the positive reviews and information, I decided to go for it.

I am currently having my third and last attempt, unfortunately without success. And I'm waiting for the bleeding to stop.

In March 2025 I went for my first examination. A few weeks later, suitable donors were found. I have dark hair, brown eyes and a slightly tanned complexion.
Donor found. 10 eggs, 6 fertilized, first 2blasto, then suddenly there were three. With two healthy donors, quite a bad quota, isn't it? You think there should be more. More chances.
No statement whether it is a fresh egg donation or eggs from a donor bank. Perhaps only a limited number are taken from a donor bank. That there are still 10 from the same woman for someone else.

In July 2025 first transfer, values, implantation everything worked out. Ultrasound 7ssw no heartbeat. Behavioral miscarriage.
Second attempt in October 2025 good results, uterine lining great, unfortunately no implantation.
Third and last transfer. Values, build-up everything top, implantation worked - 7ssw. Empty amniotic cavity, slight signs of a start - but no further development. Hcg, progesterone, estradiol super values, which at first did not make the doctor believe that there was nothing there. Behavioral miscarriage.

I strongly think that something is wrong with the blastocysts, maybe they are good quality at first. I never got any more information about it. Good quality.
But none of them developed. According to the gynecologist, everything was fine physically and my values were great.
And the doctor says it was probably bad luck - but you could be happy about two implantations.
    I am totally desperate.
I look forward to your answers.

Ani 88: That's totally frustrating and I'm very sorry that the third transfer didn't work out again. My condolences for your loss too ❤️ That's so awful and a terrible situation!

I'm at IVI Valencia and I don't understand why things were so disorganized for you in Mallorca. We received the results in writing with photos via the app on day 6 after fertilization of the eggs. Valencia is the main location of the IVI Group and the egg donation bank. They are not legally allowed to share the donation, but are only allowed to stimulate the donors as little as possible. We had 12 eggs from a fresh transfer, according to my doctor the blasto rate is around 30% (without PGT-A).
Have you already had three transfers with the IVI? How do you proceed? Has your doctor made any suggestions for the next steps?

I hope this helps you a little and gives you some comfort 🫶 If you like, you can also write to me privately.
    Best regards Jellybean

Jellybean thank you very much for your message and your kind words. ❤️

It wasn't really disorganized, the team and the communication with the doctor were good.
But you just didn't get any further information. I know it's normal. The information about whether the donors had already been successful.
Now only the statement from the doctor "it was bad luck" is just sad. How much bad luck can you have :(

How many blasto were made from the eggs? And have you already had a transfer?
Did you also have a double donation?

I had three blastos and three attempts at IVI. This was my last chance and hope.
The doctor in Mallorca just said. We can start again and I should get in touch.
How am I supposed to restart if I no longer have the money for it?
The treatment cost me over €20,000. How am I supposed to pay that again on my own?
I go to work and for years I've also waited tables in a restaurant in the evenings after work to be able to pay for it all.
    Kind regards

Ani 88: I can well understand that. It's a lot of money and it's not easy to pay. Since I've been at it for almost a decade, I've changed careers and now have an office job with good pay. I would never have been able to finance the whole fertility journey with my original profession.

Fortunately, it worked out in the 2nd EZS attempt. However, I already had a whole diagnostic schedule from the doctor in case it didn't work again (even though I really had everything checked in Germany). The embryos are generally not PGT-A tested (I think it was almost 2 T€). This has to be booked in addition (it's on your form). The treatment cost us around €17k. With a third TF, we would have ended up with just over €20k.

Somehow two empty amniotic cavities leave a strange impression. However, the IVI has to provide much more information about the blastos, otherwise they have missed something in your case. You get a protocol from their embryology with rating and pictures.

For us, it was also an emotional decision. But I had already read from Mallorca that the attending doctor wasn't supposed to be so approachable. I also wanted to be treated at the main location so that I could get more "service" more easily if necessary. That may be nonsense, but it gave me a good feeling. However, the flight and hotel were much more expensive than to Mallorca.

Would embryo adoption in Germany be an alternative for you in the long term?

Ani 88 Poor you, so many dashed hopes! That's really frustrating...

The blastocyst rate is pretty normal though - I was always told about 70% fertilization rate and about 30% blastocyst rate - there's always a bit of luck or bad luck involved of course.

A miscarriage is often due to embryo quality, but can also have other causes, e.g. plasma or killer cells in the uterine lining or coagulation disorders or immunological factors - have you had any of these investigated?

    Jellybean

    Nini

Hi, I went to the hospital on Friday for a scraping. Amniotic cavity and placenta have continued to grow, hcg has continued to rise even though the amniotic cavity is empty.

The amniotic cavity was only empty the second time. The first time, the embryo, yolk sac etc was seen, but unfortunately no heartbeat in the 6/7th week.

Nini I have not had any further tests for plasma cells or immunological tests. Does anything implant at all if killer cells etc are there?
The doctor in Spain said that the drug cocktail would do everything to prevent this.
Did you have everything examined in advance? Did you have to pay for it yourself? How much did it cost?

I have a well-paid job, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to pay for it in two years, one year in Germany and one year in Spain, that's €40,000. I'm alone, without a partner. But I don't know if I can do it again.
I'm not allowed to donate embryos in Germany because I'm alone. Only couples. I might have to look into this abroad and find out more. Which would incur financial costs again.

Jellybean congratulations on your luck 🍀 I hope you're doing well and that you have a lovely pregnancy ❤️

    Hello Ani 88,

the examination for plasma and killer cells can be done at the University Hospital Jena, for example, they have done a lot of research on this. It probably also plays a role in miscarriages. You don't have to go to Jena for this, you can have the sample taken by your gynecologist and then send it there.

    https://www.uniklinikum-jena.de/geburtsmedizin/endometriumdiagnostik.html

Costs around 250 euros the first time, subsequent tests are then cheaper.

Otherwise there's also the EndomeTrio test, I think in Spain, but I think it's more expensive...

With coagulation diagnostics, it depends on the doctor whether it is covered by health insurance or has to be paid for privately. My gynaecologist did some of the tests (the cheaper, non-genetic ones) at the expense of the health insurance, the rest I would have to pay myself, estimated at around 500 euros. I haven't decided yet whether I will do this.

I didn't have anything tested before the first attempt and it worked straight away. After that, however, I had four failed attempts for my second child and am only now starting to have more tests done. Maybe I should have started earlier. However, I can't yet say whether it has helped.🤷🏼‍♀️ It's probably the case that you want to actively do something to increase your chances of success. For self-efficacy in this completely externally controlled process. You probably never know whether it will actually help...

Ani 88: Thank you very much for the congratulations 😊

I had my coagulation tested at the very beginning. Maybe you even have someone in your family with a (suspected) blood clotting disorder (grandma/grandpa, stroke/heart attack/thrombosis etc.)? Then the health insurance company will cover the costs.

I also always recommend a plasma & killer cell test in Jena. After the first therapy after 8 years of Kiwu, we even got pregnant spontaneously for the first and only time with our own EZ!!! (but didn't stay 🙈). I had it tested a total of 4 times in Jena, even before the 2nd EZS-TF 🍀 I don't recommend cheaper labs, I've gotten the wrong results there too.

Spain sometimes prescribes prednisolone, which helps against elevated killer cells. But if your plasma cells are elevated, you need antibiotics.
