    Hello lovelies,

We had decided to combine our stay in Spain (for fertilization of the eggs and planned transfer on 11.11) with a short vacation, because the whole flying back and forth would have been almost as expensive :) The weekend before departure I started bleeding and the KIWU in Germany didn't give us much hope and said that the uterine lining was shedding.

In consultation with the doctor in Spain, I increased the dose of Progynova but the next day I still had bleeding and wrote off a transfer...

Then, on the day of fertilization, the big surprise. The mucous membrane looked good and had not detached. There was no more trace of bleeding. Sometimes polyps that are hidden behind the mucous membrane cause such bleeding, but as the ultrasound 2 weeks before was unremarkable, this was not the case for me.

Of the 11 eggs, 8 could be fertilized and 4 developed into beautiful blastocysts.

One of them was then actually implanted on 11.11. Perfect blasto, beautiful mucosa, good hormone levels - the best conditions.

Today I found out that it wasn't meant to be. The blood test was negative.

I don't really know how I feel right now. I was relatively relaxed, tried not to give any indication but was still so hopeful. It all felt so right. 11.11 - my lucky number, I was pooped on by a bird after the transfer (also supposed to bring luck ;) ) and now I can just see the mountain of costs for the next attempt, including flights, mediakamts, ultrasounds...

I'm just tired, exhausted and anxious at the moment, wondering whether we're overstretching ourselves financially or whether it's time to let go of the desire to have children... I know it was only attempt number 1 but I don't know how many more I can do mentally and financially... Theoretically, we still have 3 blastos and attempts left...

I had to get that off my chest... maybe you have some constructive thoughts or tips for me? Thank you very much!

We recently went through this three times...and are now facing the same questions...But you will also read here that it worked the first time, the second time, the third time, but also the fourth time.....

If it works mentally and financially, keep going.

    Cheer up!

    Hello LiniBini,

I had 4 attempts (the last one with a new donor/clinic) and am now pregnant (20 weeks gestation).

My journey has been difficult (painful hormone treatments, tablets, injections, blood tests, 2 hysteroscopies, 1 operation, numerous trips, lots of expenses...).

But in April my little girl will be born and I will just forget all that!!!

I know how you feel right now. But this was just your first attempt.

This is really your decision, but I'm glad every day that I didn't give up when I feel my little girl in my belly.

I wish you all the love!!!

    it's Kryo, Baby!

Perhaps there is a way for you to obtain the syringes/medication etc. abroad, if you are not already doing so.

It is always possible to save a lot of money here.

For example, my husband and I are in a clinic in the Czech Republic and we have the option of driving there by car (which is very practical, as we don't have to pay for a company car or fuel costs), and after both transfers we also took the medication we needed directly to the clinic, as it is much cheaper there.

Perhaps you also have the option of a "cheaper" travel option.

In any case, I wish you every success and don't let it get you down! Your luck will surely find its way to you!

Hello everyone, thank you for your words and encouragement.

We decided today to have a hysteroscopy before the next attempt to rule out any polyps (due to the bleeding last time). Better safe than sorry.

The appointment is in January, which means that we can probably attempt the next transfer in February / March. By then we can also put some money aside...

Jani_Mouse thanks for the tip about the medication! I might try a pharmacy in Mallorca next time. I live in southern Germany and unfortunately the Czech Republic and the like are not an option.

Congratulations Nini747! It's so nice to read your success stories and that it's worth sticking with it ❤️. All the best for you!

AuI What a sh... Are you any further along in your deliberations? I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you and thank you for still finding the strength to encourage me!

LiniBini, unfortunately I don't have the name of the pharmacy in France "to hand", but they also sent everything by post and I only paid a fraction of what you pay in Germany for the medication!

The name was something with B... that annoys me now 🙈

Yes, it is Billmann - I have always ordered there without any problems.

At the moment I need a lot of Prolutex - unfortunately it wasn't cheaper there than here ... you always have to compare!

    🙏 mega, thank you!

I will have a uterine endoscopy in January as a precaution to make sure that a polyp may not have caused the bleeding. That makes sense regardless of whether I want to have a child...

So we now have a little time to put something aside. The next transfer can then take place in February/March at the earliest anyway...

I probably don't need to tell you that being "slowed down" doesn't feel good, but it gives us some breathing space and security...

I'll keep you up to date!
