APS syndrome and egg donation

    Dear team of experts,

    I have unfortunately been diagnosed with antiphospholipid antibody syndrome. I have a history of 4 early miscarriages after IVF, 2 antiphospholipid antibodies are permanently elevated. I also have a healthy child who was born on time after a spontaneous pregnancy without complications.

    Is my APS syndrome a contraindication to egg donation? Unfortunately, I am already 41 and APS and egg donation are both associated with an increased risk of preclampsia and premature birth.

    Thank you very much for your answer and your work here!

    The APS is being treated with heparin and aspirin. Unfortunately, another miscarriage has nevertheless occurred. Would you also recommend treatment with cortisone (prednisolone) or hydroxychloroquine (Quensyl)?
