Myoma - Egg donation

Hello!

I have been having heavier periods again for about 3 months. My gynecologist newly diagnosed a myoma yesterday. I think it is intramural. Size approx. 3-4cm.

Should this be removed before egg donation?

I agree with the question! I also have a 4 cm intramural fibroid.

As long as the fibroid does not touch the mucous membrane, i.e. the endometrium, removal is not necessary. If there are any doubts in the ultrasound, a 3D ultrasound can be used to take a closer look. However, most fibroids are easy to see with a normal 2D ultrasound.
