I was in hospital from 21.12 to the day before yesterday because I had bleeding at 24 weeks. My cervix has shortened from 4 to 2 probably due to infection. Now I just have to lie down... I also had gestational diabetes... I'm just crying, it's still far too early, who had something similar?

I don't have any experience of this myself, but my neighbor also had a cervical shortening in her twin pregnancy from the 22nd week of pregnancy and was only allowed to lie down. It was hard for her, she ended up with constant back pain and her muscles broke down from lying down, but she held on bravely and gave birth to her twins at the end of the 38th week of pregnancy, healthy and on schedule, in a spontaneous and natural birth.

I had a shortened cervix during my entire first pregnancy (33 years, natural, spontaneous, pregnancy). Length 22mm, I then had to lie down a lot, was only allowed to work 50% from the 7th month. The birth was ultimately as planned with a caesarean section due to breech presentation at 39/2.
With child two, the cervix was completely unremarkable - I still had a premature birth...
