Hello dear ones,
there have been no messages in this section of the forum for a long time. Are there currently any other pregnant women among you who are interested in sharing their experiences during pregnancy?
I am currently at the beginning of the 18th week.
And it's not a "normal" pregnancy after all, after all the paths and hurdles, and also with egg donation.
For example, things like:
- I'm still afraid that the child will suddenly not live (because I've experienced it three times).
- What will it do to me that the child is not genetically mine? How will that really make me feel?
- Who will I tell that it is an egg donation? (We want to tell the child right from the start)
- How do I tell my/our (old) parents/family?
- Worry that there might not be a bond, or that the child might be a stranger to me at first because it doesn't take after me.
-Sometimes I also worry that it is much darker than both of us, because the donor was darker than both of us - and people may wonder how we came to have the child.
-Will I feel excluded if the child comes after my boyfriend and his family emphasizes the similarities with him?
As you can see, there are lots of questions and I would be very happy to have an open exchange (without judgment or advice)! I am also interested in what is bothering you & where you get support and strength.
Best regards!
