In which country can you still have an open egg donation at the age of 46?
Believe me, I would have liked to have a child much earlier and differently. But unfortunately it didn't work out 😢

Dear Maribel, unfortunately I can't help you with your question. But I would like to tell you that you certainly do not have to justify your age. Every woman here in the forum has her reasons why she goes this way and also why she is possibly already a little older. And I have not experienced that anyone here would have condemned someone for it. So you can write everything freely here and I am sure none of the girls will criticize you for it.

I think at 46 you are almost nowhere above the age limit, they are around 48 or 50 most of the time, sometimes there is none. There are open donations in Finland, Denmark, Austria and Portugal, for example.

In Denmark it only goes until 46 (was really accurate until birthday), but in Portugal until 50.
We have changed depending on age from Austria (IVF own EZ until I was 45) to open donation in Denmark (until 46) and now to Portugal ( there I still have time until 50 - in 2 years). Good luck on the way

I am also looking for a clinic with open egg donation. Since I am a southern type, would prefer a southern European country. I recently turned 44.
Which clinics would you recommend me? I have already contacted Austria, Denmark. But have heard that there are long waiting times in Austria.
But I am not sure if these are right countries for phenotype: Have black hair and brown eyes.
Would look forward to your recommendations/experience reports

Hi Maribel, I'm at Ferticentro and I'm very happy with the clinic. I just had a SONATA treatment for my fibroids in between (radio frequency treatment to shrink the fibroids) and can't start again until next January due to healing of the mucous membrane and the like. Best wishes and good luck in the meantime
PS: otherwise please get in touch from January, depending on when you start, maybe we'll be there at the same time?
